Ruth will run on the Democratic-Nonpartisan League ticket
(FARGO, ND) – Ruth Buffalo announces her candidacy for the state House seat representing District 27 as a member of the North Dakota Democratic-Nonpartisan League. District 27 includes South Fargo, Horace, Frontier, and Briarwood.
“As a mom and a lifelong North Dakotan, I am committed to improving our quality of life. I want to reduce the cost of healthcare in North Dakota and make sure our communities throughout the state are safe for everyone. I also care deeply about improving our educational system. We need to adjust our funding model to support our growing schools, while making sure that kids in rural areas have the same learning opportunities as students in our larger schools. We need to find innovative ways to support our agricultural economy. I’m very passionate about finding solutions to meet the demands of our growing workforce”, said Buffalo.
Ruth works as an independent consultant for health-related programs and services. She serves on many boards and advisory councils that promote safe and healthy communities, including the North Dakota Local Food Development Alliance. Ruth has a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice (Huron University) and three Master degrees in Management (University of Mary), Business Administration (University of Mary), and Public Health (North Dakota State University). She is married with four children.
